Yeah, ya know what Robert, you are a troll. Put that at the bottom of one of your bottles of Scotch. How about not posting when you are drunk anymore? That would be a start. If you had balls, maybe an admission that you were tired or even deep in the cups when you posted last night.

We can do this all day long. All night long. And day after day.

Your bullying people here is over. Bring it on if you haven't already. Now, I have expectations of performance.

Here's a little news for you, you conflicted little churl. I stopped drinking a while back. That of course is no one's business but mine - I don't need approval or support for what I do. Just don't go thinking you can dismiss what I say as some sort of alcoholic aberration. You're getting the full espresso version and have been for quite some time. So, no admissions to make - I'm still saying what I mean, like I always have. You can go look for another box if you like, but I won't fit that one either.

Oh yes, and this isn't 'your lawn' its an internet forum. Deal with it.

But my handle is. It draws my attention, which is my lawn, so to speak.

Why couldn't you just let 'whatever' lie last night? I still have no clue what set you off. And unless you take the costume off, this is going to be our forum experience on IA. Fun, huh? A good place to take a load off and be w/ some fellow travelers? Hmm. I hope so.

So Rob, why so many conflicts, w/so many different people, over several years?

E- I didn't want your silly subject line.

I don't wear a costume - what you see is what you get. Whether you like it or not, I don't much care.

Like I said hours ago, if you'd left it at yesterday's 'Yikes!' instead of coming back with a wise after the event diatribe today you'd have been doing fine and these last few exchanges would never have happened. Think about it.

Really?

Again, not one moment of reflection. Are you impervious? Do you lack empathy? As far as I know, you do someone a bad turn, you deal w/ it. I have yet to see a glimpse of that. We all screw up. What you do after is the measure of a woman or a man.

You refer to the silly reference, may I assume? I couldn’t help but follow this thread – the circular drama has captivated me from its earliest days. I am reticent to admit my amazement at how one can present the truth with such directness and humor. I probably should have stayed out of this tug o’ war. Sorry micah.
Stage left indeed – thanks for holding the door open BD !

That was me joking bout you and your gun control issue...of course, if it's fake, you have it somewhat under control.

Did you know that one of your earliest posts here describes leaving for a run of some distance? I just always recall that, besides the CC biz. We go back a long, long way; but of course, knowing you are still in the Bay Area, along with Smil2es, Dark Star, and others, will forever have you on the longer and longer "list of suspects", eh?

;)

[I never did that little grin doohickey til the last yr here...life's too short to keep pissing folks off, even if they deserve it, ya know? That's why I had to "give up" the whole PM biz, it was just too irritating to me and everyone else I am sure...except for Midnight Sun and a few others laughing the whole time!]

is Tracy still the bay area? (ugh) WT, I admire how you keep above the fray here. You must have a life! haha. (I only speak for myself). At last count, I have 2 or 3 GD forum posters over on facebook. There, all my photo's paint a more dismal and real "me" then in a forum. There, I've known 75% of them in real life. For what it's worth, I place you in my top 15 (i just added 5-lol)of fav posters. Like mando, sdh, Jon, dire, Bryan, bd, rob, skuzzle, NC, Johnny, ducats, Arb, Cliff, iglynn, elbow

and I'm suffering temporary memory loss on @10more.

Just some fav's who's posts i enjoy. Butt how they get along with each other? well, hay!

Tracy?! Wow...but of course--I knew peeps that commuted to SF from Tracy...yikes! Beautiful views of the back of Diablo, though...you have to grant that. And, not too far, kinda--sorta, from Turlock, famous for Bob's ref on Euro 72 ("...this next number rose straight to the top of the charts...in Turlock California...they love us and we love them for that..." or some such?).

What the heck ever happened to BryanE and Cush? I think BE is over at DHook, but UU will have to confirm that...I lost the link.

BryanE's last post here was on Feb 9 09 ,and Cush last showed up May 5 10. I think you're right that Bryan is still active elsewhere - I believe he gave up on this place because of the, ahem, poor standards of discourse on display.

Cush as I recall had suffered some personal setbacks that had left his pretty much homeless and relying on the kindness of others. Last I heard he'd moved to San Diego. I'd love to know how things have worked out for him.

PPS. Where the hell did the whole alcoholic thing come from? The minute someone waxes poetically about the joys of a fine libation they are booze hounds? If so, we've got more lushes here than an AA meeting in Passaic.

And hey, while we're all fessing up, I actually had to stop drinking a while ago--but, the good news is I more than made up for it before that, so nobody, and I mean NOBODY has a leg up on me in that department. I mean a leg...er...crap. Whoops, wife's home...bye!

The whole 'alcoholic thing' is an easy out for those who refuse to believe that there could be anything wrong with their point of view and that only an alcoholic or someone similarly deranged could possibly fail to see things their way.

Yep, and as soon as The Great Unwashed just except the fact that you are almost always correct (the times you are not I take great pleasure in pummeling your ego with a hammer forged in the depths of Humble Mountain (Tolkien-esque, no?) all while stone sober, the better it will be for all of us. I also have a strong suspicion that you, like me, would consider it almost blasphemous to waste a good single malt-induced buzz on this place...no offense to you folks out there.

Rab is no troll.
It's just direct and honest Caledonian wit.

However, if you are going to mix it with him, then you need to be less sensitive. Treat it like a fast game of ping pong.
Otherwise stay out of the kitchen. And thank yourself lucky you haven't been on the receiving end of Dire Wolf's subtle humour ;0)

At least with Rab, what you see is what you get. Neither does he bear grudges. If he has something to say, then he gets on and says it. If you are willing to move on after, then so will he.

Unlike some others in these parts...
